Carradan Mamba -
US$ 19,000
Each Carradan ski offers a
unique “one-ski” solution, designed to provide the
ultimate performance and comfort no matter where your
day of skiing takes you. Floating through powder?
Cruising on a groomer? Carving on double blacks?
Whatever the conditions, wherever you go, Carradan skis
function as an extension of your own being.
Our
superior skis are one-of-a-kind—individually handcrafted
and electronically numbered just for you. Carradan Skis
feature two models: the Copperhead, the ultimate
“one-ski” solution, and the twin-tipped Mamba, the next
step for those seeking a more extreme skiing
experience.
In addition, each Carradan ski is designed to minimize
the total impact on a skier's body. In real terms,
this means that the ski absorbs much of the stress from
your lower body, resulting in a skier's ability to ski
harder and longer without stopping to rest those burning
leg muscles.
Once you have selected
your Carradan Ski model you should consider adding the
Martin Bell Experience, a personalized orientation of
your new Carradan skis by Olympian Martin Bell (see
below for more information on this unique service).

Named after a snake
with a nasty bite, the versatile unidirectional twin-tipped Mamba sinks
its teeth into any tough terrain - but when called upon can slither along the
powder trails and groomed runs. Designed for the
advanced to extreme skier, the Mamba boasts the
proprietary Carradan core, a tight but yielding flex
pattern, and an adapted shape for the perfect ride on any slope in the
world.

FEATURES
Carradan FLEX:2TM
Core
— The
core is a carefully constructed micro-fiber laminate
composed chiefly of Ash, Bamboo and Okume, certified
to show zero defects and air pockets. The low
density woods provide exceptional crush resistance
as well as longitudinal and transversal dampening
characteristics. This core gives the ski its
surprising adaptability at both low and high speeds.
Reinforcement
—
The composite fiber layers on the top and bottom
ensure the cohesion of the ski and allows for fine
tuning of the ski behavior on the slope. In
each Carradan ski, the fiber structures have been
designed with an emphasis on the orientation of the
threads, their weight in the wrap and as well as
their angle. The special blend of carbon and
elastomers creates a unique torsional effect which
adds strength while simultaneously lightening the
weight of the overall ski construction. This is
currently the most expensive form of this type of
weave in the world of ski construction and is
considered prohibitively expensive for most
manufacturers.
Sidewalls
—
High quality sidewalls with a crush weight among the
highest of industry products available. Coupled with
a smooth and professional finish that adds stability
and torsional rigidity, the design retains the
elegant look of the skis.
Base— The Ptex 4000 or graphite
bases used in our skis guarantee speed and
stability. A competitive edge made of Rockwell 48
level channeling ensures a dominant hold along the
running surface and is wrapped 360 degrees around
the ski, after being specially treated with a new
patent pending process which lengthens the life and
increases the overall durability and rust resistance
of the edge. No ski in the world has this special
treatment except a Carradan ski.
Topsheet — High quality topsheet
with a nylon weave ensuring protection from everyday
scuffs and cuts. The beautiful design is sublimated
into the materials and the artwork enjoys a more
enduring canvas.
Carradan CRYO:2TM
- All Carradan skis include our
proprietary CRYO:2 cryogenically treated steel edges
that increase
tensile strength, toughness and stability.
Tips — High impact reinforced tip
construction.
Security — Embedded in the ski is a
tamperproof GEN 2 RFID tag with an electronic
serial number that uniquely identifies each Carradan
ski.
Hard Ski Travel Case — included
with each pair of Carradan skis is an airline
approved hard plastic lockable ski case.
Lifetime Warranty — Carradan Skis ski products are
warranted by Carradan Skis to be free of defects in
workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the
skis; click
